21st Century Skills This project was a good demonstration of self-directional skills because we were assigned to do it at home due to COVID. Each student needs to be on task during the online class period and needs to be able to do the project in their free time.
What are you most proud of from this assignment? Something that I am proud of by completing this assignment was my ability to enjoy working on this project during my free time. I am also proud of my illustrations.
How to improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I developed a new understanding of self-direction. For most assignments, you always use self-direction to keep yourself on task, etc. , but since we are unable to receive help from the teacher face to face and we are at home during school you need to make sure to stay on task the entire time.
What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult thing for this assignment was creating a story that no one else would have. I am not sure if anyone else chose a similar story to me, but I tried to make it different from what I thought other people would do. Personally, if I was the teacher I would get bored reading the same/similar stories over and over. That’s why I tried making mine a bit different.
How could you improve this work? If I could restart this project I would create a better story outline and take more time drawing people. Instead of creating a story outline I only created a story. While creating the book I took some scenarios out of the story that I thought was unnecessary and that caused me to change it up a bit. How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? This slightly relates to what I have learned in the past. I was taught to take time on the rough draft, so the final draft would be easier to create. That has a little to do with the project, but it still turned out good.
How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this to future learning by reminding myself to take all the time I need (between the deadline) to create an acceptable rough draft and even better final draft.
