Name of Assignment: Triangle Similarity Match Task Subject: Geometry Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. Marsh
Description of Work/Assignment: The triangle similarity match task was a small project we did in math. We were assigned to create a short story and draw a picture of two of the three similar triangles. Those include SSS, SAS, and AA. I chose to do the project for SAS and SSS.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? The 21st century skill I used for this assignment was thinking and problem solving. I ran into a couple of issues throughout this project, but in the end, everything worked out. Thinking and problem solving best demonstrated the way I worked through my issues.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am proud that the assignment turned out professional and neat. My drawings resemble the stories I created and everything correlated well together.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? Thinking and problem solving is the most frequent 21st century skill I use, so I don’t necessarily think I improved upon the skill. I learned how to have a deeper understanding and I am more aware when using it.
What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult part of the project was figuring out a story and title line. It had to be creative and one of a kind, so it took some thinking.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently? If I could improve upon this project I would create a different or better story.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? This project doesn't relate to anything I learned in the past because this topic is a new topic. It relates more to what we had learned in geometry.
How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this in future tests, but personally I don’t think I will necessarily apply this math in the future.
